Are you interested in becoming a Councillor?

Following the uncontested Parish Council elections, there are are 7 vacant Councillor positions that can be filled by co-option:

  • The Lavers (6)
  • Bobbingworth (1)

A councillor’s primary role is to represent their local area (or ward where the council is warded) and the people who live in it. Councillors provide a bridge between the community and the council and address matters of local concern. As well as being an advocate for local residents and signposting them to the right people either at the local council or the principal authority, they  try to ensure that the community is informed about the issues that affect them.
